Letter From Dr. Gateley

Dear volunteers and potential volunteers of Central Virginia:

I’m Dr. Kerry Gateley, Health Director of the Central Virginia Health District.  I wanted to express how important volunteers are to the area in protecting the public health and safety of people in our District. We are proud to start a Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) unit right here in the heart of Virginia and are eager to have volunteers donating their time to this great program!  The MRC offers an opportunity for individuals from all backgrounds to donate their time to help their community in times of need.  As Winston Churchill said, “We make a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give.”  Please consider being a team member of the Blue Ridge MRC unit today!

Sincerely,

Kerry W. Gateley, M.D., MPH, CPE
Director
Central Virginia Health District
