Parents, grandparents, teachers, childcare workers, and more are welcome to get your Tdap booster!
Flu shots: This year the Fredericksburg Health Department will be offering flu shots for a charge of $30.00 to children and adults in our community. For adults and children with insurance, we can bill Medicare, Anthem PPO, and Southern Health for the charge of your vaccine. Children who are uninsured, have Medicaid, or Medicaid HMO can receive their flu shot at no charge.

As we welcome the warmer weather to our area, the Rappahannock Area Health District (RAHD) would like to take a moment to remind all of it’s residents and visitors to enjoy the out-doors safely.
We want your outdoor experiences to be full of great memories and free from illness. To that extent, we have developed this guide to cover common outdoor risks that you or your family may encounter while outside. Topics in this guide include tick-borne illnesses and prevention, preventing exposures to rabies and how to avoid heat-related illnesses.
