The Rappahannock Area Health District provides an immunization clinic in all counties and the City of Fredericksburg at least once a week per health department. Click the "Sites" link on the left for each Health Department's scheduled clinic times. The Rappahannock Area Heath District's goal is to have each child in the district be immunized against Vaccine Preventable Diseases and for adults to be immunized, as well, to prevent the spread of disease and to have a healthier community.
We provide all REQUIRED childhood immunizations FREE of charge! It is important to bring to clinic the child's record of any previous immunizations from previous providers. Keep your child up-to-date on their immunizations by following the recommended immunization schedule for their health and that of the community. The Vaccine for Children Program is offered for all children birth through 19 years of age for persons with no insurance, Medicaid or Medicaid HMOs, Native Americians, and Alaskan Natives. Immunizations are offered on a walk in basis, without an appointment.
Adults need immunizations too! You can find an adult schedule in the links below.

Immunizations for overseas travel are by appointment only. Clinic appointments are on Fridays 8:15am-12:00noon. You may call 899-4142 to set up an appointment. Immunizations for Typhoid, Hepatitis A and B, Yellow Fever, Menningiococcal, and others are offered. The cost of the clinic is $40.00 plus the cost of each vaccine. Each area of travel has its own recommended vaccines.
