• Building a new foodservice facility . . .
  You must first:

  • Complete a Food Service Plan Review Packet
  • Complete a Health Permit Application.
  • Return completed documents to Rappahannock Area Health District, Attention: Environmental along with applicable payment. Our mailing address is: 608 Jackson Street Attention: Environmental Fredericksburg VA 22401

  There is a $100 fee for the health permit application and a $75 fee for the plan review application that must be received prior to construction beginning. There is a 30-day processing time for new foodservice facilities.
• Purchasing an existing foodservice business . . .

  You must complete a Health Permit Application.. There is a $100 fee for this permit which will be issued when the facility is in substantial compliance with the rules and regulations which govern restaurants. All documents must be completed in English. Return completed documents to Rappahannock Area Health District, Attention: Environmental along with applicable payment.
