DDP has issued an RFP for the Community HIV Testing (CHT) grant program for 2013. Grants will be awarded for community-based, non-clinical HIV counseling and testing utilizing rapid test technologies, direct linkage to care for previously and newly diagnosed individuals, and optional partner elicitation services. Services shall be targeted to populations at highest risk for HIV including men who have sex with men (MSM), injection drug users (IDU), persons with a combined MSM/IDU risk, persons who trade sex for drugs/money (sex workers), transgender persons, incarcerated persons, homeless persons, the sexual partners of these populations, and high-risk heterosexuals. Proposals are due by 3:00 p.m. November 2, 2012. Programmatic questions about the CHT program should be directed to Heather Bronson at Heather.Bronson@vdh.virginia.gov or 804-864-8020.
