The Virginia Department of Health’s Division of Disease Prevention established a committee in June 2006 to revise the standards for community-based HIV/AIDS case management with a focus on Ryan White Part B (formerly Title II) funded case management services. The HIV/AIDS Case Management Standards are available on this page, as are resources that you may need in their implementation.
Case management services are funded through the HIV consortia in the five health regions in Virginia. If you are looking for a case manager, go contact the lead agency in your region.
The VCU HIV/AIDS Center provides training and support to case managers across the Commonwealth, including clinical consultation for Part B-funded case managers. The Center also provides specific training to help implement and follow the HIV/AIDS Case Management Standards. Please contact the VCU HIV/AIDS Center for more information.
