The Colonial Beach Yacht Center used Boating Infrastructure “Tier II” Grant funds to construct 723 linear feet of floating transient dockage. The floating dock was installed in two sections that allow for a more flexible tie-up configuration. The transient dockage is serviced by 16 new power pedestals, and an electrical transformer. The transient docks are handicap accessible and are serviced by a sanitary waste pump-out system.

A “Tier I” grant was used to upgrade the sanitary facilities and onsite sewage system. The restrooms are compliant with the American’s with Disability Act and include new shower facilities, sanitary fixtures, and sinks. WiFi service is available at the transient dockage.

A floating dinghy dock was installed to improve access for those transient boaters seeking to moor in Urbanna Creek.

The wave attenuator protects the marina basin while accommodating 18 transient slips. A power pedestal services each slip. A security system has been installed to ensure the safety of transient boaters using the facility. Access to the floating wave attenuator and transient dock is via a handicap accessible ramp. A sanitary waste pump-out system is also available for use by transient boaters.
