Downloading ViewStation Software

Step 1: Log onto the Polycom website http://www.polycom.com

Step 2: From the main page click on the Downloads tab.

Step 3: The Downloads tab will take you to the Software Downloads
menu. From this menu select Video Products.

Step 4: Under the Video Products menu scroll down to ViewStation.

You will be given a selection of the most recent versions of ViewStation software:

ViewStation 512 ViewStation Version 7.2.4 Release code 03 January 2003
ViewStation FX/VS4000 ViewStation FX 4.2 Release code - 28 August 2002

Note: Be sure to download the software that corresponds with your particular Polycom Camera (i.e. The Polycom FX camera is only compatible with the ViewStation FX/VS4000 software).

If you have a 512 camera, when you go to their web site there are 2 versions of the software:
1. View Station SP/SP384
2. View Station 128/H.323/512/MP/DCP/V.35

You need to download the 2nd version for our type of 512 camera.
Also, don't try to upgrade the software while the camera is involved
in a conference, as it will cause it to disconnect.

Step 5: Once you have selected which software is compatible with your Polycom ViewStation, the below screen will appear and ask you to complete the one-time registration to gain access to their new software website.

Click on the "Continue" button and you will be taken to the login/password screen. If you already have an account, go ahead and log in. Otherwise, you will need to click on "New User Account" and obtain one.

After selecting the appropriate software, we recommend you save the software to your PC.

Upgrading ViewStation Software

Step 1: Locate the saved ViewStation software on your PC.

Step 2: Now, double-click on the Viewstation icon.

Step 3: A pop-up WinZip screen will appear. Select the I Agree button.

Step 4: Double-click on the Softupdate(FX or SP).exe file that will appear in the
WinZip folder.

Step 5: A Polycom Softupdate screen will appear. Select Softupdate.

Step 6: You will now be prompted to enter the IP Address and Password of your ViewStation.

Note: Your ViewStation Password is “admin”.
