R. Wayne Goodman joined VDH Internal Audit in July 2000 as a Senior Auditor. Wayne has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Old Dominion University, and a Masters degree in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia.
Wayne is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a certificate issued by the North Carolina State Board of Accountancy. Wayne has three years experience in hospital administration at Raleigh Community Hospital and over eighteen years experience in the internal audit field. Wayne spent twelve years performing audits for General Electric Mortgage Insurance Corporation and more than six years experience performing internal audits for the Department of Health.
