The Health Commissioner has granted contaminant-specific waivers with the following conditions:
Cyanide
Monitoring may be waived after the initial monitoring requirements
have been met with NO detection
Diquat
Monitoring may be waived for all waterworks EXCEPT those located in the Tidewater region
Ethylene Dibromide (EDB)
Monitoring may be waived for waterworks with groundwater well sources, UNLESS the
following VOCs have been detected: benzene, ethylbenezene, toluene, xylene,
1,2-dichloroethane, or MTBE. In these instances, monitoring may be waived after initial
testing for EDB is met with NO detection.
Dibromochloropropane (DBCP)
Monitoring may be waived unless DBCP was used as a soil fumigant
