Every Woman’s Life Program

Every Woman’s Life (EWL) is a public health program that helps uninsured, low income women in the Prince William Health District gain access to free breast and cervical cancer screening services. Screening and early detection reduces death rates, improves treatment options, and greatly increases survival.

If you are a woman between 40-64 years old, live primarily in the Prince William Health District, and your income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, you may qualify for this program.  For more information, please call 703-792-7494.


Women’s Health Services

Women's Health Services are by appointment only on Wednesdays at the Manassas Clinic and Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Woodbridge Clinic.

Women’s Health Services that are offered include:

  • Gynecology check-up including pap smear and birth control methods
  • Sexually transmitted disease detection, screening, treatment and education
  • HIV testing and counseling
  • Health education information and referrals

Eligibility for Women's Health is based on income and co-payments are based on a sliding scale. 


Teen Wellness

Teen Wellness Services that are offered include:

Teen Wellness Services are available to all teenage residents of the Prince William Health District. Teen Wellness Services are offered during walk-in hours at the Manassas Clinic on Mondays from 2:00-3:00 p.m. and at the Woodbridge Clinic on Thursdays from 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Pediatric Primary Care

The Pediatric Primary Care Project provides primary medical care for the uninsured children of Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park. The children enrolled in the project receive access to continuous, comprehensive medical care.

Eligibility:

  • Families not eligible for FAMIS/FAMIS PLUS that cannot afford medical insurance
  • Children from birth to 18 years of age
  • Families that meet income eligibility

Services Provided:

  • Medical homes for the children of the working uninsured
  • Parent Education Classes
  • Case Management
  • Home Visits
  • Links to Community Resources
  • Access to medical specialists

Prenatal Care Clinic

 Prenatal care services are provided at both Prince William Health District clinics. This service is provided by appointment only. Eligibility for services is based on income. Please see the locations page for contact information to schedule an appointment.

  • Care for pregnant women
  • Referral to WIC (Woman, Infants & Children) services

Labor and delivery services are not covered by the Prince William Health District. Arrangements are made through Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center or Novant Prince William Hospital.

Pregnancy Testing

Pregnancy testing is offered during walk-in hours at the Manassas Clinic on Fridays from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and at the Woodbridge Clinic on Mondays from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Pregnancy testing services are available to all female residents of the Prince William Health District.

Services offered include:

  • Urine pregnancy testing for a fee of $24.30
  • Verification of Pregnancy form completion
  • Health information and education by a nurse
  • WIC (Women, Infants & Children) information

Walk-In hours and appointments are available at both the Woodbridge and Manassas sites each week to best meet the needs of the community. Please refer to the schedules below to plan your visit to Immunization Clinic.

Walk-In Clinic:  In order to provide the best care possible to all of our clients, a maximum of 50 clients will be seen during Walk-In Clinic hours.  We limit the number of clients admitted to ensure a safe and professional atmosphere for all.

Appointment Clinic: If you prefer to come to the clinic during an appointment time, please call to schedule your appointment. To reach the Woodbridge Clinic location, please call 703-792-7300. To reach the Manassas Clinic location, please call 703-792-6300.

If you will be late or unable to make it to your scheduled appointment, it is important to notify the clinic at least two days in advance so that your appointment time can be utilized by another client.

Scheduled immunization appointments are offered in the morning.

Walk-In for PPDs ONLY: 8:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Wednesdays

Manassas Clinic:

Mondays

Scheduled immunization appointments are offered in the morning.

Fridays

Walk-In Clinic (for PPDs and immunizations): 8:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

What to Bring: Please bring immunization record(s) at the time of your visit. If you/your child have Medicaid, Medicare, or private insurance, please bring the current Medicaid, Medicare or insurance card. There may be a charge for immunization services.

TB Screening (includes TB Skin Test if indicated): There is a charge for this service. If a TB Skin Test is administered you will be advised when to return. PPDs are available on each Immunization clinic day provided the next clinic day is not a holiday and a live vaccine has not been given during the previous 4 weeks.

International and Overseas Immunizations
Before traveling, it is recommend that you have your travel itinerary reviewed by a Public Health Nurse at least two months before your departure. A nurse will advise you of what immunizations you may need.
International travel immunizations and consultations are available at the Woodbridge Clinic by appointment only. Fees are payable at time of service. Personal checks, cash, Visa, and Master Card are accepted. International and Overseas Immunizations Services are available to all residents of the Prince William Health District.

If you would like to receive immunizations from the Prince William Health District, you may fill out the appropriate paperwork beforehand and bring it with you to the clinic to expedite your visit.

Plan First Insurance Program

What is Plan First?
Plan First is a program that helps to cover medical costs of family planning services, sexually transmitted infection testing, periodic office visits and reproductive health education for men and women. If you are eligible for the program, you will be able to access these services for free.

 Who is eligible for Plan First?

Any man or women who:

  • Is between the ages of 19 and 55
  • Is a resident of Virginia
  • Is a citizen or alien
  • Has an income less than or equal to 200% of the federal poverty level*

 *If you are under 21 years old and living with your parents, the full household’s income will be taken into account. If you are under 21 years old and living outside of your family’s home, parent income will not affect your eligibility.

 What services are covered by Plan First?

  • Annual family planning exams
  • Cervical cancer screening for women
  • Sexually transmitted infection testing
  • Lab services for family planning and STI testing
  • Education and counseling on family planning, STIs and preconception health
  • Sterilization procedures (extra consent form for procedure must be signed at least 30 days before the surgery is performed)
  • Most Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved prescription or over-the-counter contraceptives
  • Emergency Contraception

  What services are NOT covered by Plan First?

  • Performance of, counseling for or recommendations of abortions
  • Infertility treatments
  • Performance of a hysterectomy or partial hysterectomy
  • Follow up services to a family planning visit
  • Repeat PAPs due to abnormal results
  • Annual exams if they are not performed within the family planning visit
  • Primary care services
  • Services which do not have an approved billing code available at www.planfirst.org
