We inspect and permit hotels, motels, campgrounds, summer camps and we periodically inspect the swimming pools and spas of these operations.

Migrant Labor Camps:
We inspect migrant labor camps to insure that safe and healthy living conditions are provided for migrant workers and their families while they are employed and living in Virginia.

Child/Adult/Mental Health:
At the request of other State agencies, we may inspect child care, adult care, nursing homes, or mental health facilities.

Lead and Air Quality:
In cases of elevated lead levels, we have a qualified inspector to investigate and determine the source of contamination. We can provide information on lead, radon, asbestos and other air quality issues.
