Our mission is to effectively respond to any emergency impacting public health through preparation, collaboration, education and rapid intervention.
Make a plan
When disaster strikes; what will you do, how you will get to a safe place; how you will contact one another; how you will get back together; and what you will do in different situations.
Get a kit
Try to assemble your kit well in advance of an emergency. You may have to evacuate at a moment’s notice and take essentials with you.
Stay informed
Most communities may be impacted by several types of hazards during a lifetime. Knowing what to do before, during and after an emergency is a critical part of being prepared and may make all the difference when seconds count.
Pets
In the event of a disaster, if you must evacuate, the most important thing you can do to protect your pets is to evacuate them too. If it's not safe for you to stay behind then it's not safe to leave pets behind either.
