Disease Information and Prevention

Several different areas of VDH are dedicated researching diseases, monitoring their occurrences, and educating the public about preventing and controlling common and rare diseases. VDH works with health care providers to track disease outbreaks affecting Virginians. We also work to develop comprehensive and easy-to-understand information about diseases that could affect you and your family.
